Namma Metro Bangalore is a rapid transit system designed to ease the city's traffic congestion and enhance connectivity. It is managed by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), it features multiple lines, including the newly introduced Blue Line or ORR-Airport Metro Line Metro. The Blue Line is a crucial addition, which covers 58.19 km from Central Silk Board to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) via Outer Ring Road (ORR) and KR Puram. The Blue Line will make travel faster between IT hubs, residential areas, and the airport, offering a smooth, eco-friendly, and efficient way to commute in Bangalore.
The Blue Line of the Namma Metro network has 2 phases and connects the Central Silk Board to Bangalore International Airport). The Blue Line metro stations consist of Elevated, Underground and At-grade Level Metro stations.
Chikkajala Metro Station is a cancelled elevated station on the Blue Line (Phase 2B) of Namma Metro in Bangalore. BMRCL cancelled it after the Embassy Group withdrew funding. This station would have provided convenient access to Decathlon Anubhava Sports Arena, Chikkajala Police Station, and Chikkajala Lake.
Phase 2A will connect to the Yellow Line at Central Silk Board and the Purple Line at KR Puram Interchange Station.
Phase 2B will connect to the Yellow Line at Central Silk Board with the Kempegowda International Airport Metro Station. The line will also have an interchange with the proposed Orange Line at Hebbal.

Doddajala Metro Station is an upcoming elevated station on the Blue Line (Phase 2B) of Namma Metro in Bangalore. It offers easy access to Jakkur Cross Metro Station, Yelahanka, and Devanahalli.
The Doddajala Metro Station links Purva Aerocity to the entire city. The blue line connects Krishnarajapura (KR Puram) to Kempegowda International Airport. It consists of 17 stations, and the depot is in Shettigere.
Purva Aerocity in Chikkajala by Puravankara Limited is strategically located just 4 km from Doddajala metro station on the upcoming Blue Line Phase 2B. This line will connect residents directly to KR Puram and Kempegowda International Airport, offering easy access across the city. The project location connects Hebbal, Yelahanka, Devanahalli, and Kempegowda International Airport (KIAB).
